After watching this video and others like it, as much as the Sarah Palin nomination horrifies me, I’m actually starting to feel some empathy for her. If John McCain hadn’t been such an ignorant, sexist old coot, she never would have been put in this humiliating position.
I’m starting to feel bad for her

About me
As an atheist – and former Christian homeschooling parent – I blog (mostly) about the social-political aspects of religious fundamentalism, especially as it impacts the education and socialization of children.

I’ve been feeling for her for awhile. She’s being used. The team behind McCain took a risk and tossed her into the mix and I’m betting that after this race is over and lost she’ll be sent back to Alaska by the Republican schemers and ignored. That’s how it works.
I wish McCain had put his country first and made a responsible pick. If only he had considered a cause greater than his own self-interest… Hopefully they’ll lose as you suggest.
Come to think of it, I wish SHE had put her country first and said “no.” Most would have.
