About me
As an atheist – and former Christian homeschooling parent – I blog (mostly) about the social-political aspects of religious fundamentalism, especially as it impacts the education and socialization of children.

It was AWESOME! That was the next First Family standing on the stage at the end, and 90,000 in that stadium were in tears. The CNN crew were gushing that they’d “drunk the kool-aid” and then Anderson Cooper said, well, we’re here with the music and all, and the crowds and fireworks, so emotional, let’s go to David Gergen and Jeffrey Toobin who are in a studio somewhere, to get a more objective response.
And so David Gergen says, “We’ve drunk the kool-aid here too!”
Sometimes Kool-aid is just sweet and refreshing, isn’t it? ;)
There’s something about watching an event like this “live” that makes it so much better. Of course, actually being there would’ve been best of all!
